The main objectives of the Phoenix Flyer's Club are:
To provide kids and parents with a positive club basketball experience.
In my young club basketball career I have spoken with many parents and kids that have been disappointed with their
club basketball experiences. Parents that feel their kids are just another number or that they are being nickel and
dimed to death. Every Phoenix Flyer will be given personal time and attention, treated as an individual and not a
number! Kids and parents will have fun, enjoy their experience and be satisfied with the end result.
To help kids understand the importance of sportsmanship and being a good person.
In today's society too many people have a win at all cost mentality. I really enjoy winning and have done plenty of it,
however I will not sacrifice life lessons or sportsmanship just so I can brag about an empty winning percentage. It is
more important now than ever to teach the importance of being a good person and good sport no matter what the
outcome may be. The Flyer Philosophy is teach the kids how to succeed in life and success in everything else will
take care of itself.
To help kids develop their potential and stay ahead of the competitive curve.
Today's youth is more talented than any generation before them, this is a credit to the many advanced youth sports
programs that have been established. One of the great things about club basketball is that it gives young kids the
platform on which to develop their skills at an early age. Our focus will be to prepare kids for Jr. High, High school
and college basketball. One of the most important lessons we can teach is that nothing is impossible, the only one
that can hold you back is yourself!
The bottom line is: I want every player that comes to the Phoenix Flyer program to be better in every aspect when
they leave than when they came.
